ABOUT ME

My name is Abby Wilson, I am originally from Owatonna, Minnesota and currently live in Fargo, North Dakota. Growing up with parents that own and operate their own small business has taught me the value of hard-work and reliability.
I have just completed my 4th year of Architecture at North Dakota State University (NDSU), receiving my Bachelors of Science in Architecture. I am excited to return to NDSU to complete my Master of Architecture and a certificate in GIS. Because of Covid-19, much of my schooling happened over zoom, I believe this has given me an advantage to collaborate from afar and self tech software. To get through school I work as a shift lead and bartender at a sports bar. I have an easy time leading and taking direction. Working in a bar requires me to think quick and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment; I use these skills in architecture to generate creative solutions to difficult sites, clients, or design.
Being outside and travelling are two of my favorite things to do. I believe in building with the earth in mind and making the littlest footprint possible, all while recycling and upcycling whatever possible. Creating a completely self-sufficient property has always been a goal of mine, leading me to choose the path of architecture to better the built environment.
